PRESS RELEASE

From the French River Times:

The small community of Lunge Lodge anxiously awaits this coming weeks MUSKIE MADNESS Tournament. While the Mukie competition is going to be intense, there is also excitement over the 5th annual Pettry bass tournament that is held the day before the musky competition begins. The Lunge Lodge pro Staff team has been practicing hard the last few weeks and they are beaming with confidence. An unnamed competitor even went as far to say that last years winners will probably choke!! Yes, this reporter did not have to look hard for "smack talk" from the Lunge Lodge pro staff! "There is something in the air in Ohio that stunts a fishermans brain development". " Those boys from Ohio just got lucky last year". " Heck, rumor is that the big fish they weighed came from a farm pond in Akron, but don't quote me on that". Stay tuned for more updates and outrageous quotes. Things here are really heating up!

Does Mary have the ingredients for humble pie? She's gonna have to cook up a special batch for the Lunge Lodge Pro Staff team.

What is it about success that causes such jealousy? Seems to me, the Ohioans have been quite successful all season at the Lunge!

I think I saw some photos of a Michigander with some nice fish, but other than that, this blog's been loaded with pics of Ohio-based fisherman.

I just got off the phone with Steve Pettry. He's so outraged over this slanderous French River Times press release that he jumped in his truck and is heading up to Lunge Lodge 2 days early.

He isn't bringing his boat or his fishing gear. He told me that he is going to fish from the shore and STILL beat the Lunge Lodge Pro Staff. I asked him what he's going to use for gear and he told me he has some dental floss and gummy worms that he is going to tie to a tree branch.

You really stirred up a hornets nest in Cleveland.

Oh man, I JUST finished laughing, and I read this yesterday......Wait a minute, Lunge Lodge has a Pro Staff???? Hope this "Pro Staff" bought a bigger net. It seems every year they "lose a monster" right at the boat.
